    Default Medicare immunisation records

I'm not sure if you can get records from that long ago.
However if you are basing your immunity on what you had when you were younger it could be wrong. Some aren't effective after a period of time in some people I think. But don't take it for certain.

Nope i'm basing it on the blood results i had done when pregnant. I just no longer have proof of them.

I'm 34, hubby had one too and he's almost 39

Can you contact the GP/Ob you saw or hospital you went to whilst pregnant, maybe they have the blood result records?

Hmm.. I'm not sure. They are in QLD and i'm in NSW. I think i'm just going to have to have the blood test first. *sigh*

Yes you can. I have done it I'm in QLD, not sure about other states. They only had records after a certain date though (a year in the 90's...can't remember though sorry).

I had one at school. I think in year 10? I think it was rubella? I guess there would be a record of that somewhere?

    Default Medicare immunisation records

in NSW it's called the Adult Vaccination Record/Card. we printed a copy off a government website, though we're told we could get one from our GP (he didn't know what they were!).

you can have a serology done which checks for what you are & aren't immune to. the dr can then give you a print out of your details for you to keep, or if you need to get any shots, he will fill out your AVC and stamp it so you have it on file.

you can have another serology test after you complete your course of whatever shots you needed to check for immunity again.

the serology was done on Medicare in our case

    hope that helps xx

It will be alright if medicare cover the cost. Doctors around here don't like to bulk bill or refer you to bulk billing services so i'm trying to keep the doctor visits and costs as low as possible.
