I bought cheap ones on ebay for $65.

The kids have flogged them, and they seem to be holding up really well.

These are 7 inch ones and I'm really pleased with them.

    Lol...

Well, in answer to your question, we have the cheapie from 7" k-mart and I would recommend that.

The cheapie from 7" Aldi, not so much. Definitely not as sturdy, and the 'power' connection is pretty wobbly, making it difficult to charge at times. In its defense though, it was dropped on the floor and broke into a 'front' and 'back' piece, and I could see all the inner workings and screen and everything, and I thought for sure it was a goner, but it all clicked back together and into shape and you would never know. It now lives in a case, and is never played with unsupervised (not that I would let them yet anyway).

Definitely not as awesome as an iPad. It's slow, the graphics are pretty poor etc, but it was $100 compared to $600 so I'd happily recommend it.

Lol I didn't mean to imply you were an idiot Hun, I thought I might have misuderstood your question :-)

I have the $99 ones from Kmart for my boys. I'll be honest, they're not fantastic but they seem pretty durable so far :-)

They're wifi compatible so you'd need to have mobile wifi to be able to use YouTube on them away from home.
