You must be getting excited, only a couple of months til July! How fantastic! How is post-wedding bliss?
Getting nervous and excited at the same time. There is so much landscaping I would like to do around our new house which costs a lot of $$$ but DH and I want a baby just as much. The last few months have gone so quickly. I can't believe it's April already! It will be July before I know it.

FiBub, my doc said the same thing about the whooping cough shot. She also said any immediate family that will be around the baby in the first six weeks also needs to get the whooping cough shot before bub is born?

Azimuth, Your doctor sounds amazing!! My pimples are similar to yours. They are definitely hormone pimples. I have so many on my chin right now. Ewww. I'm not use to this! Let's hope that the bad skin now means that we will have glowing skin during pregnancy. Hah!

Lilac, yay for OPK's. I love them.

As for OBs and PHI - even if you are covered, don't you have to pay thousands in OB management fees? If so, I would rather go through public. Or can you stay in the public hospital as a private patient? So confused. I've only recently upgraded my PHI so I'm new to all this. Can you tell?

In regards to cycles off the pill. I think my first cycle was 31 and my second was 35. I hope they don't keep getting longer.
nommie, does that mean we should be worrying about everyone who will visit? Or just those who will be spending a lot of time around bub once home?

Hahaha I woke up this morning feeling a bit under the weather and got all excited!!!
only time in my life that any of us could say that!
I don't think we conceived this month as it is our first month ttc but still really excited to think it is just around the corner for any of us now

We will be going private. I started saving as soon as we even started talking babies! I know my hospital stay is covered by Medicare and health fund combined except if I need an anaesthetist or any drugs etc. also any extra specialists like paediatrician won't be fully covered. The 2 private hospitals in our area are really nice and I have been reading about all the obs that deliver at them....most hospitals have lists of obs on their websites, and a lot of obs even have their own websites. I also like to google the Obs and see different people's reviews.

This might be the only time I have a baby so as selfish as it might sound, I want the nice room etc, and don't want to have to share with anyone, then if my bub cries or if their bubs cry, no one will be bothered by it.

AF due next week, dying to do a test

So big news in our house this morning. DH and I are going to start trying this cycle!
We were waiting till July because of our overseas trip but if we were lucky enough to fall first try I would still be only newly pregnant when we went and it shouldn't interfere with our plans at all! Going to see another Dr this week to talk about whooping cough and chicken pox vaccine and then it is all systems go! I'm expecting AF to show up within the next day and then when she leaves the building will be hitting the opks!

Eek I'm slightly terrified lol. Will still stay in this thread though cause I want to continue following your TTC journeys too!

Oh no TwinnieMumma, that really sucks Hope there isn't too much fever/pain. They don't normally prescribe anything for that do they? Do you just have to wait it out?

Good on you FiBub, you know what you want and you'll get it! That isn't selfish at all. You're so organised for starting to save early on! You've put in the effort and you deserve private if that's what you want. for you testing next week!!

AFM we are going to actually try next month. This month we did kind of have a stab at it but we were only ready to go a bit after the window, I think. There is about an 0.000000005% chance that it would have done anything! But next month it'll be on which is only a month to go. Whoop whoop.

Hope you ladies are all having a lovely Sunday arvo.

    Thanks Elswyth
Things were pretty bad Monday through to Friday in the pain and fever stakes. Poor little dudes. Yestrday and today are much better, just waiting on the sores to start clearing. In normal cases Dr's can't/won't prescribe anything because it's a viral infection. Some cases it starts to turn into a bacterial infection and they'll give anti-b's.

Hi everyone! This is my first ever post! My hubby and I have been discussing having a baby for the past 9 months, I've been doing a lot of research and we decided to start trying in April. Then in Feb some other plans changed and financially it wouldn't make sense to start trying until June/July. I didn't realise how much I wanted to start trying until I realised that I was sooooo disappointed to put it back another few months. So at the moment I feel like we are in limbo and just getting ready to actually start trying! I started prenatal vitamins in January ( thinking we would start tryin in april!!!) We came off BCP in March and I was so worried it would take ages to get AF because i had been on it for 11 yrs but I got it after 32 days yay! We don't have many friends or family with children so its nice to come on here and see other ladies are going through the same things as me and maybe i will stop sending myself crazy thinking about babies!!
