Default Freaking out over 12wk scan on 31Jan2013

    Heyoooo lovely ladies,

I just did the 11wk blood test, and am really freaking out over my 12wk scan which is scheduled for 31 January. The last time I was pregnant, it didn't turn out so good... I'm not sure what people can say, but I'm freaking out it'll happen all over again (missed miscarriage).

Just because things went wrong last time, doesn't mean it will happen again. I know its easy to say and much harder to do but try not to stress out, chances are everything is fine. Did you have an earlier scan or is this your first one?

I know exactly what you mean. I had a missed miscarriage last year (found out at 12 weeks, baby had stopped growing at 9 weeks).

I am currently 10W5D and my 12 week scan is on the 4th feb. Needless to say, I too am worrying that history will repeat itself. However each pregnancy is different and just because it happened last time, does not mean it will happen again. We just need to stay positive for our little bubs

I did have a dating scan at 9weeks 3days and saw a heart rate of 167bpm and the baby was moving. So, with this in mind, it DOES look better than last time... just gotta keep on with the positive thoughts, and if history does repeat itself, I guess we've just gotta pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off again.

If you've already seen a heartbeat then the chance of miscarriage is much much smaller so try to keep thinking positive thoughts
