It is a nice read. Nice to feel that it's ok and that's it's ok to celebrate. I just hope that this new name doesn't impact on anyone too badly and that it gets changed back soon.

    Default New Celebrate Bottlefeeding section

For what it's worth (and I don't suffer any delusions about how little that is) the current title seems unnecessarily exclusive to me. Why bottle feeders only? When many breast feeders *do* support and celebrate bottle feeding, why exclude them?

One of the loveliest insights I read today was written by a breast feeder, but the changed title would preclude her from participating. Surely there's enough "us" and "them" in this game already

there has been a reply from a mod in the other thread about the name change. Its a little concerning when the reasons cant be divulged

"There is a reason but it cannot be divulged".

Apparently a poll will come tomorrow to pick names for the breastfeeding AND bottlefeeding threads.

I don't understand where this has come from, when everyone has said they're happy with both????

Why does this have to be so hard...?

Hmmmm. Do I smell the whiff of a potential or new advertiser lurking somewhere in this fiasco who might just think that celebrating ff runs contrary to their manifesto?

It would explain their unwillingness to divulge

Just when I thought it was safe to come back here.

There's always something happening. More and more I feel like a mushroom- they feed us sh1t and keep us in the dark.

No one earns enough promoting breastfeeding for this to happen IMO and if they did the FF companies would out-bid them in a nano second!

Purely speculative, but pro bf organisations certainly have enough $$$ in their promotional budget to leave glossy brochures and fridge magnets at my delivery hospital. Why wouldn't they consider branching out and target groups like bubhub in an Internet campaign? Seems to be smart marketing to bring your message to wherever your target audience is. And we're all here...
