Default Any other high risk pregnant girls at the moment (high blood pressure)?

I've already gotten a lot of great advice from ladies on here and I was wondering if there were any other pregnant ladies currently battling high blood pressure while pregnant?

I'm 24 weeks but have been on meds since 14 weeks. Currently on the highest dose of aldamet, labetelol, another beta i can never remember the name of and aspirin. It's taking 16 tablets a day and mostly bed rest to keep my bp down but it's still spiking at about 140/100 ish at least once a day.

Just wondering if there were any other ladies in the same boat?

My ob said I might only make 28 weeks, but I'm determined to make at least 32. Baby is doing well, growing well and a good size so no problems with the placenta yet.

I had one night in hospital last week because my heart rate shot up to about 150 for about 4-5 hrs and I was getting really short of breath lying down, and had a bad headache and funny metallic taste in my mouth. I tested positive (the +1, one above trace) for the protein in the urine but the blood tests were ok so I'm hoping I have a few more weeks before full on pre eclampsia hits.

Anyhow if there are any other ladies in the same boat, would love to hear how you are treating yours and keeping it down.

Hi Clementine! Just wanted to say I'm sure everything will work out fine, you're in good hands. Hope you make it to 32 weeks as well.

I'm high risk as well but for Placenta Previa Grade 4 and will hospitalised in a few weeks until bubs is delivered.

We made it through ivf, we can handle it getting tough in the trenches Although it would of been nice to have a risk free pregnancy!

Hi Kmvw! I remember you from the ivf traps.

How far along are you now?

God I know! You'd think after everything we have to go through to make these little miracles, we could have a stress free pregnancy. As if we haven't had our fill of drs visits and specialists to last us a lifetime
