Default Random questions you have that you want the answer to...

Has this been asked before? But why did they put the extra number infront of phone numbers?

Landline numbers used to only have 7 numbers and then they added a new number to the beginning based on where you live so Brisbane had 3 added to all their numbers. Many years ago Ph numbers only had 6 digits

But if they added the same number you'd think they'd still need just as many?

Nope as it creates more possible combinations.

Yup Definitely Running out of numbers.. Sydney added a 9 to theirs and now we have used a fair whack of the 8XXX-XXXX numbers too I hear.

Sydney did it around July 1996 I remember as I met friends on a camp in june and I remember discussing the change with them.

I was reading out this thread to DP and he asked, what's the difference between a white and brown onion as when our open theybaee the same inside.

We only ask as the shop was out of white onions and we had to get a white one

    This is what I googled:

    Yellow Onions

Yellow Onions are full-flavored and are a reliable standby for cooking almost anything. Yellow onions turn a rich, dark brown when cooked and give French Onion Soup its tangy sweet flavor.

    Red Onions

Red Onions, with their wonderful color, are a good choice for lots of fresh uses or for grilling, charbroiling, and roasting.

    White Onions

White Onions are often used in prepared salads, white sauces, and is the traditional onion for classic Mexican cuisine. They have a golden color and sweet flavor when sautéed.
