Default How to deal with "performance anxiety"!!

Hi ladies, has anyone ever had issues with their DH and performance anxiety? We have been ttc for over 12 months and this is our first cycle on provera and clomid. I am day 14 today with a positive OPK, however yesterday and today my DH just has not been able to BD. This has never happened to us before and all I can put it down to is the pressure of having to BD on certain days. It's just so upsetting and frustrating for me, however I am trying not to make it too much of a big deal in front of him. Any advice? Has anyone else had the same issue

Default How to deal with "performance anxiety"!!

DH had a few of these moments whilst ttc it's hard because it made me feel like crap but I can totally understand it's due to the stress of conceiving rather than him not wanting to dtd with me. Eventually he got over it and we got onto it again. I found there were months he would think about it more than others and he affected by it more.
If you can somehow take some pressure off him and maybe not telling him when O exactly is and try dtd after and before O (I know after O dtd is a PITA as you get so over doing it so much).

I also found that when I got my bfns I would be upset in front of him but not absolutely devestated as I think it makes then think about it more and feel more under pressure to giving you his little men x

Goodluck and hope you get a nice BFP soon xx

As was said before, try to take the pressure off him. Make dtding so often seem spontaneous and sexy rather than 'a job'. hope this doesn't last long for you.

Sometimes my DP can't .. *ahem* "finish" - i think this is also to do with the pressure, but it doesnt help that its always super late at night, so i just try to make it fun and sexy again, because even for me i feel its sometimes like a chore.

We had the same issue once and luckily it passed and all was good next cycle. We put it down to stress, it's still I'm the back of my mind it could happen again though. Good luck!
