    Just a quick question, does it cost more to meal plan then to make it up as you go during the week?

    I find it is a lot cheaper, less going to the shops=less impulsive purchases + you only buy what you need.

    I find this too, I also like not having to stress over what to cook for dinner each day

    I'll share mine which is based around stuff I already had in the fridge, freezer, cupboard. Bit broke this week.

    Wednes Lasagne, salad & garlic bread. Lamb burger lunch
    Thurs Pork & pineapple fried rice. Zuchinni slice for lunch
    Fri Leftover slice for breakfast. Toasties lunch. Slow cooker lentil/veg soup.
    Sat Slow cooker Irish stew. Egg dish lunch
    Sun Vegetarian tacos with lots of salad. Leftover stew lunch
    Mon Shepherd's pie. Don't know lunch
    Tues Pork ribs, mash, veg. Vegie soup lunch

    Mine is something like this this week:

    Today: tuna patties with vegetarian frittata
    Thursday: butter chicken with rice & mango chutney
    Friday: mango and coriander chicken with steamed veg
    Sat: chicken & vegetable stir fry with rice
    Sunday: gluten free spaghetti with tomato, tuna and caper sauce.

    Lunches are usually leftovers from the night before.

    Trying to be a little economical this week as having a party this week and need to spend extra on food for that out of the budget.

    This week I was given a whole heap of mince from my aunt cos they lost power to their freezer. So it's been a mince week!

    Curry puffs
    Penne bolognaise
    Lasagna
    Pot pies with mashed sweet potato
    Meatballs in spinach sauce
    Tacos
    Chilli con carne

    Pumpkin and ricotta lasagne

    Marinated chicken steak with sweet potato bake, greek salad and parmesan and pepper bread rolls

    Zucchini slice with a garden salad

    Veal schnitzel, veg and gravy

    Turkey, cream cheese and cranberry toasted sandwiches

    Porterhouse steak with veg.

    baked potatoes with ham cheese pineapple and sour cream
