    Default Antibiotics after C Section

I cannot see my OB till Wednesday so I thought I would post my silly question as I am concerned now, after a csection do you get given antibiotic in the hospital as I cannot remember. I has one 6 weeks ago and just last week I have burning and itchiness down below and think I might have thrush but I have never had it before and was thinking maybe from medication in hospital?
Not too sure what to take for it as breastfeeding and should I be taking inner health plus?

Not unless there's some sort of infection. Canasten should be fine to use for the thrush, just speak to your pharmacist.

    Default Antibiotics after C Section

I had some heavy antibiotics after my c section but that was ONLY because I had an infection.

Pre infection, I didn't see any antibiotics.

I was given them in the hospital as their standard practice.

I'm fairly certain we give a standard dose in the anaesthetics drug cocktail in theatre.....

other than that only if for example you had prolonged rupture of membranes or the fact that you had an infection was the reason you had a Caesar etc, or if you starting spiking temps after your Caesar.

I was given then through IV with fluids in the first 24hrs. After that nothing. After a week my pain was worse and visited Dr and I had an infection in my uterus, so I was given another two Lots over 3 weeks. I'd chat with your dr.

I wasn't given any unless I had shown signs of an infection. The OB told me usually day 3-5 is when you will know if you have an infection. I never got an infection
