Default BF 4 month old wont take bottle.. Need help!

Gosh doesn't sound to promising :/
I'm due to go back mid march for 2 days a week. I plan just expressing and bottle feeding just those days I'm at work, the rest I will breastfeed.

I'm currently trying the medela teat at the moment but have tried lots of others with no luck, she just pushes it out with her tongue or holds it in her mouth smiling at me or playing with it. If I put it firm to her mouth she gags.
Ill have to try a cup and see how that goes but being only 4month do you think she will be to young for a cup?

Never thought it would be this hard

Oh no! I'm not sure Wat u can do. I found with mine if she's watching the tennis n not paying attention to Wat I'm doing she'll start sucking without even knowing n once she starts she's right. Maybe if u tried the telly to distract her. Mine only likes the tennis lol.

My 2nd child would not take a bottle for such a long time, almost 10 months of age. In the end we had to try giving the bottle for her to "play" with and in her time she took it! She was sitting in a pram and we were shopping at the time. The bottle had water in it. We looked down and there she was, sucking it

My DD also refused the bottle. I tried everything! I just offered the bottle once a day for ages and eventually she did take it.

I was like you, I tried everything, sippy cups and spent a fortune on every single bottle/teat out there. You know what worked? Me having to stop BF due to a medical condition, I left him with mum for the day and after a few hours he got hungry enough and took the whole bottle. In saying that, there is no way in the world I could have done that if I didn't have to, I couldn't put him through that. So you would have to be prepared to let him go long enough to get really hungry, which it sounds like you couldn't do I tried every day for weeks and I could only handle a few minutes and then I gave him his beloved booby and a cuddle

I haven't gone back n read the other posts so not sure if someone mentioned but have u tried something other than breastmilk? Pear juice or formula? I'm hanging out for the solids too hoping it'll make life easier. I also changed to a faster flowing teat n can now give her expressed milk without even a fuss.
