Default Hospital gift hamper for new mum...

Nice handsoap! My hands got so dry after washing after every nappy change.

Ditto the water bottle. One that is opened with one hand and seals easily to avoid spillage! I have a Contigo and love it because it's also easy to clean and holds a lot of water!

I was given a 365 day journal from Kikki K (although needed 366 days!) but it was such a wonderful gift and an easy journal to keep. I bought nice pens and pencils and recorded daily events and milestones but, if I didn't have much to say, I'd scribble a picture or a few words only or write something like "when I found out I was pregnant...". My book was completed last weekend and it is so very special. And the Kikki K Facebook page gives ideas on things to write if you're having a nothing day.

I think I would have just loved some food! I love the snack ideas, I know I did a lot of that at 1 3 5 and 7am while feeding bub in hospital

Chocolate can be a bit constipating, so not really what you want after you've had a baby!
Some other snacks would be great, though.

Prunes! Seriously! Those pain killers make you so constipated, last thing you need. And I second the chap stick and nice hand cream. Maybe some comfy undies too? Have fun! You're a wonderful sister

Some wonderful ideas here, great thread!

I would also include pear juice for the same reason given for prunes.

Some nice soft bed socks - my feet were always cold.
