Mrsboyts - some people say you don't look pregnant as a compliment, that you look like you haven't gained weight.

I was at a family members house, which I just have to say is the least toddler friendly house I could imagine, with two sets of wooden steps, pretty glass ornaments and mirrors everywhere, and WHITE leather couches, and as a good mum, I was trying to keep 19m old DS occupied and out of trouble (and stop family member from giving my already hyper DS ice cream at 8.30pm at night). I am 23w pregnant, so got tired and said to DH, "your turn" and family member said, "how are you going to cope with two?"
I could have slapped her and blamed it on pregnancy hormones I suppose.

After spending two hours trying to get then a three month old DD to sleep, I commented to Mum that I had to do that three-four times a day did each nap/sleep. She said 'well you can't go that with more than one child' Helpful!

The girl who is replacing me at work when i go on parental leave said to me on her first day, "I hope the baby's head doesn't rip you open"... Then today she said "are you excited about giving birth?" And I said "not particularly" and she said "I've heard it can rip you open when it comes out - that's something for you to look forward to" - I don't know what her obsession with my vagina is!!!!

Also, she told me a few weeks ago that I'm too young to be married and having a baby. I'm 23, she's 24, single and lives with her parents. Just because we live our lives differently doesn't mean my way of living is wrong - I have my life completely sorted and wouldn't have chosen to bring a baby into the world if I didn't (I just realised she's never asked if the baby was planned or not, that's a surprise!)
