    Default 2013 bachelor of nursing...

    Hi ladies,

I got into Griffith uni at Gold Coast for nursing... I am hoping to be able to do it full time... I have a 16 mth old and a 4 year old and lots of family support. I am too a lil nervous, scared and excited about doing this degree. I wish I had known I wanted to do this when I finished school!!!

Congrats to everyone that is furthering their careers and going to uni!! Yahoo for us!!

I also got my offer on Thursday for the Bachelor of Nursing through UNISA - I will also be studying part time!

I live in Tasmania, I will be working 32hrs per week and have a 5.5 year old Daughter :-)

I have always wanted to be a nurse, so really looking forward to some study and getting through the next 6 years!!

    Congrats melb81 & msro82

Msro82 I got excited when you wrote your doing it through unisa as that who I'm going through externally. But then you said you live in Tasmania lol. Do you have to come to the uni at all? I know I have to go some days for pracs. I'm also doing it part time.

You are all my role models. I'm only 20 and was planning to go to Uni straight out of high school (graduated 2011). Just before exams I found out I was pregnant. Took a year off and still had a strong urge to study. So here I am. If you can do it with 2 plus kids then you give me faith I can do it with my 9 month old. One of my worries is planning my next child in between my studies. Please share any study tips or anything you discover along the way.

I hope your info packs arrive soon. ACU does everything online so all I have left to do is timetable in my units. I'm getting so nervous.

Yes I do have to come to Adelaide! I was also offered a spot for education at University of Tasmania (external) but chose nursing. I have relatives I can stay with for the pracs and fingers crossed I can do my placements in Tasmania (they try locally but it isn't always guaranteed). I believe there is only one trip to Adelaide in my first year :-)
