    Default 2013 bachelor of nursing...

    I received an offer for bachelor of nursing at uniSA today, so excited. Thought I would start a thread for all who are going to be studying nursing this year. Il be starting part time and am going To be doing it externally!

    I would love to be able to do that. Very interested but cant afford for me not to work full time ie cant get 4-8 weeks off and certainly cant get to SA for pracs lol. Good luck, Im very jealous!

    I'm an RN. Be prepared for a lifetime of poverty, low pay, and the prospect of being stuck living in the outer suburbs.

    I should have married a doctor. Instead, I married a policeman who is on equally low salary bracket.

    I'm into my third year out of uni (RN) and love my job!! Some days the pay could be more but overall it's not bad? Living and working on the gold coast I love it!!!

    RN's don't receive a low pay, especially once you're grade 8! Also all the penalty rates are pretty good. I don't see how close to $40 an hour for a normal AM shift is considered to be "poverty" :s

    I earned over $80,000 last year, I don't consider that low and live in a lovely suburb 15 minutes from the cbd. Yes I've been nursing a while so earn more than a first year, but the potential is certainly there.
