Default Can I see you baby-wearing?

Would highly recommend a stretchy wrap for when Bub is little...hugabub, sleepy wrap etc... Try to steer clear of bjorns they can cause hip issues as Bub doesn't "sit" in them, just hangs... If you can hop on fb and look up baby wearing buy swap sell :-)

I would thoroughly recommend the breeze baby sling. I have used it almost everyday with my now 12 month old, as well as our Ergo. I love that the breeze baby is lightweight, super cool material for summer and folds up so small in my nappy bag so I always have it with me. I have used it to shower with DD when she was screaming, and took it overseas with us twice. Best purchase I made. I'll try to find a pic for you when I'm on the computer.

Thanks- more advice, love it I know babe could very well end up being a "personal space" baby, and I am TOTALLY ok with that! I just want to be prepared in the event that s/he isn't

I'll definitely look up the Facebook page

Stretched, did you go straight to a ring sling for your nb? (Sorry if you wrote that or not!)

Found it thanks pixie and omg- even MORE choices that I hadn't even heard or thought about!

Without being able to try them on, how did you all find something that suited you and baby?

Check out the FB page for your local baby wearing group

They will let you try theirs & then you can decide

This is DD in the ergo, front carry pic is when she was 19 months. Back carry is when she was 30 months. We love the ergo!

4 pics of various stages of baby wearing in the breeze baby and another ring sling I'd bought in Malaysia.

Have a search on fb or just ask in the BWBSS group for a baby wearing group in your local area or a sling library in your local area I know over here in Perth we have quite an active bunch of ladies with regular meets where you can try on all sorts of different carriers and get pointers from other more experienced ladies

PS: be careful it can get addictive!!

Oh it is such an addiction!!

I'm not sure where you are located, but there might be local babywearing meets nearby. People tend to have different carriers, and you can try them on etc. Also, I know some baby shops (especially baby bunting) have some carriers you can try - Ergo, Hug a bub etc.

For me, I started with an uncomfortable Bjorn, moved to the hug-a-bub at about 8 weeks, found an Ergo at 4 months and then discovered the very, very addictive world of woven wraps at about 6 months

I have a new computer, but I'll see if I can find some pics.
