    Default Recurrent Chemical Pregnancies/early miscarriage

Has anyone experienced recurrent chemicals/early miscarriage?? What helped you get a sticky pregnancy?

I had two miscarriages before DD1 now 13 months and am currently experiencing what appears to be my third chem/early miscarriage in as many months.

What did you change that helped you??

I certainly have had many of them after my DD in 2004. I believe it was seeing a reproductive immunologist and using steroids as well as Clomid that got me over the line. I also have PCOS, and an underlying immune problem which no FS ever picked up on except my RI!

Hi WannaBMummy - have you have your thyriod levels checked? That's what my FS looked into. Apparently they can cause misscarriages/Chem pregs in some people if not in the proper range. Might be something to look into? I'm on meds now to help keep my levels under control

    Good luck xx

I'm sorry for your losses. I had three mc/s and two chemicals between DS and this baby. We went through the full spectrum of tests and even tried IVF, none of which worked. The things that were different for this baby were I had been taking 600mg/day CoQ10 for four months, and DH had had a varicocele repaired. I also saw a healer regularly for almost a year before conceiving this baby, to work through the trauma of the losses and learn to relax better.

We were on a break before going back for more IVF (to transfer two frozen embryos) when we fell pregnant. I'm currently 11 weeks.

I would recommend seeing a fertility specialist and getting tested for everything so you at least know if there is an issue. For us we were 'unexplained' but I think the above may have helped us.

    Good luck

    Really sorry to hear that

I had 3 in a row last year. Two were at week 5 and one at week 6. Are you seeing a specialist? Sometimes it can be a clotting disorder or it can also be low progesterone. Recurrent miscarriage is actually quite rare, so the is prob something causing it. I would head to the gp and then a specialist so they can try figure out what is causing it.

Similar to nat84u ... I had 2 in a row and eventually was diagnosed with high NK cells by a reproductive immunologist. Treated with immune protocol of steroids, clexane, progesterone pessaries and intralipid infusions. After 6 failed ivf cycles I got my bfp first try on this protocol.

Thanks ladies. We saw FS free miscarriage #2 and he diagnosed pco for me due to extremely high AMH levels and hubbies sperm count as low/average. He prescribed clomid at the time however I fell with my DD 3 weeks after miscarriage number 2 before I could start the drugs. Now since having her it seems we have no trouble getting pregnant its just staying that way that is the issue. Off to gp this arvo to get a referral back to our specialist who was also my OB. Hopefully we get some answers because it is starting to get really unsettling. 3 in a row is mental torture!

    Default Recurrent Chemical Pregnancies/early miscarriage

I had one in July 2011 @ 4w3d, August 2011 @ 4w5d and then another in January 2012 @ 5w3d. Went to fertility specialist and they found nothing wrong (regular cycles, ovulation etc), and just put it down to bad luck. The Dr said he thinks as many as 1 in 2 end in miscarriage very early on. Already have a DD with no issues so I think that ruled out a lot of possible issues/factors. Was nice getting myself investigated, and DH had a sperm test. All normal.

We fell pregnant in June 2012 and I'm now 30.5 weeks. It was a horrible year we had dealing with the 3 miscarriages in 11 months.. So I know how you feel.

I started taking multi vitamins after my 3rd miscarriage in January, perhaps that helped but honestly I think it was just luck.

Good luck, hope you find some light at the end of the tunnel and get your sticky BFP.
