Default Flu shot.. To get it or not to get it this time..

I got the flu shot last year and from then til now is the longest time I've gone without getting terribly sick. Every year over New Years I am usually so sick and also around August/September. I'll get the shot again this year. DH didn't get his last year and got the flu really bad.

Never had the flu shot or the flu. I've been in bed for 2 weeks with tonsillitis tonsillitis, yep true diagnosis, with rashes and everything.

The reason I don't vax flu is the limited coverage it offers.

I also got the flu last year. It was AWFUL. It was followed by 8 weeks of pneumonia and there were literally points I thought I was dying.

I still will not get the flu shot. My son is also selectively vaxed, but flu is not one he will ever get.

One of the mothers in my mothers group got the flu shot last year and it landed her in hospital within several hours. This was 7(?) months ago now, and she was only allowed home for the weekend over Xmas. They don't think she will ever walk again, and may not regain all of her speech. I know this is a rarity, but it is still too common for my liking (especially for a shot that is so minimal in its actual protection it provides).

I have always gotten one for at least the last 10 years. Used to work in a hospital so staff vaxxing was encouraged due to immunocompromised patients. Don't work in hospy anymore but still always get one

A will all be getting it, just to err on the aside of caution.

I have had the flu shot a few times and not had any adverse reactions.

I always get it and the pnemonia vax sorry if my spelling is wrong.

My brother has Down syndrome and one year someone's cold landed him in hospital in an induced coma having his lung removed to have fluid on the lungs taken off then stitched up again!! He's lucky to be alive.

I am not sure whether to gett it or not. Work have flyers around and we can put our name down on the list for march but i am really not sure. I had the flu last year and it really knocked me about and would hate to get it again.

Yep I get it thru work too. Best way to keep my kids safe without giving them the vaccine.
