Default Gallbladder removal - did you lose or put on weight?

I have to get my gallbladder removed and was wanting to know if you found it easy to still loose weight or did you put it on?
I am worried as I don't want to put any on as I had a baby only 4 weeks ago and have to get it removed in 2 weeks.
I want to lose weight not gain it in the future!

I lost weight initally too and then gained 2kgs. Nothing compared to the pain of keeping my gall bladder tho!

So does the removal of the gallbladder prevent you from losing weight?

Yep! I have struggled to loose the 2kgs, I have hit 30 too tho and my metabolism has slowed, could also be a factor.

Neither. It may have fluctuated a little, but it didn't have me losing or gaining a significant amount at all.

EDIT - I don't think the gallbladder removal prevents weight loss. I don't see why it would. I sucked at losing weight both before/after my gallbladder was removed, and then went and had gastric sleeving done... and have obviously lost weight since that, so having my gallbladder out didn't prevent weight loss. It may make it harder to lose, though again I'm not sure how.

Neither. Though for about 6 months after the removal I got the runs if I ate anything fatty. All good now though.
