Default How many days did you stay in hospital after your elective?

With my first emergency it was 5 days... Is an elective any different?

I had my elective Caesar on a Tuesday morning and was out on the Thursday arv. Ideally I would have like to stay another night but they were keen to get me out!

Subbing out of interest as I may be having an elective this time. Undecided at the moment.

Default How many days did you stay in hospital after your elective?

With my last c-section I left after 48 hours, I wanted to go home after 24 hours but they wanted me to stay a little longer. This time around as long as there are no complications I plan on going home after 24 hours.

The hospital I had my kids at has a minimum stay of 3 days. I had DD2 via c-section Monday afternoon, wanted to go Wednesday morning but I had to stay in the extra night and was disharged Thursday afternoon.

I went private & stayed 5 nights. I think this is fairly normal, most hospitals will offer an early discharge tho if it's not your first baby.

I personally liked staying as long as I could to get all the help I could :-)

I stayed 6 but because bub was born just over three weeks early and I had polyhydramnios and they wanted to make sure my uterus clamped down properly.
