I am glad you went to the Police. Do you know if they can do anything or is it a wait and see situation?

Oh, Anewme...you should definitely talk with the Police. Having a hammer swung at you?

Who are these crazy nuts you are living next door to?

We all lose it occasionally but most of us try to do it with some sophistication and decorum...oh...and definitely without actual or threats of violence.

Those kinds of threats....as well as actual threatening behaviour deserves to be reported. Such an upsetting incident...I hope you are feeling okay.

I'm pretty sure they cant send you a bill for any of the fence. You have to come to a written agreement before work starts. Also if there was nothing wrong with the fence and they just replaced it for aesthetics, then you have no responsability financially. I'm not sure who governs fencing, but I was given this advice about our back fence that is very slowly rotting from my council. We were told that it wasn't bad enough to require neighbours pay half and to wait till it rots away further and then only replacing the rotten part (we want colourbond).

Anyway, good luck with crazy psycho hose beast.
