You'll find lots of help on BH from other women doing ivf there are some wonderful, supportive girls on here. I've learnt so much in the last 18 months of being on here.

    Hi rainbow,

I got given a run down from the clinic before we transferred so ill see if I can dig it up, but it may be on my work computer.

Sucks that you didn't get your Bfp from iui, but fingers crossed first ivf will be it for you guys. Hopefully we'll be cycling around the same time :-)

That'd be fantastic if you can find it veritas. No rush though

Hope so, will be good to have an IVF buddy. Might have to hop into some support threads too x

    Hey rainbow,

Found the break down the nurses gave me when we were weighing up whether to continue in Sydney or not.

She has I broken down to 2 payments of $3575 and the $980 for sperm. In addition she has around $550 for the anesthetist, the hospital fees or excess if you have phi and then $300 for freezing and storing any left over embryos.

That included syneral or lucrin. Luveris is $180 per injection, Saizen $150 per injection and cetrotide $100 per injection.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks hun! She told me that too. Expensive, huh?!?

Looks like it'll be at least $11k, before all the rebates etc.

    Worth it though!

Absolutely. It's a little pricier up here up front, but the sperm is considerably cheaper. Being close to home is def worth it too. We are lucky we have just gone the 12 mths with phi so have the hospital covered.

We don't have phi as we wouldn't have been covered by the time we started so we decided to forgo it anyway (we were hoping we wouldn't get to IVF stage...alas). But my in laws have offered us money which will help us out hugely.

Sperm is just a killer here!

So glad you have the in laws. We were hoping not to need ivf too.

How have you found the clinic?

I've been really happy with it. The nurses are lovely and no waiting times is great. I do wish their sperm methods were a bit different (ie I wish you didn't have to re-chose every month) but that's not a huge drama.

But overall we are happy with it
