Default Does anyone have a Hyundai i45 or new Elantra?

We have narrowed it down to these two (DP wants a Santa Fe, but I put my foot down, it's just too big for me to drive/park/manoeuvre)

What do you think? I have told DP I want the elite mostly for the key proximity feature.

Do you love or hate it?

I don't own one, but we recently hired a brand new elantra and we were very impressed. The keyless ignition was great and the car was lovely and spacious, a good drive and had a good boot. It seemed like a great medium sized family car

I've never been happy with the drive quality of other Hyundai's in comparison to my Mazda - however the elantra felt like my Mazda... Just a bit bigger.

Maybe you could hire one for a week and see if you like it before you buy

Wouldn't touch Hyundai with a 10 foot pole tbh... You can get much better value and reliability with a Toyota or a Mazda for the same price or cheaper. The new Mazda 6 is gorgeous!

Hmmmm, how does this answer my question exactly?

I have had a Getz for years and have no issues. I am not "too good" for a Hyundai, and I'll happily keep the 5-10k I save getting a comparible car, thanks.

As someone with a car mechanic for a DF and FIL, I was just trying to offer a suggestion. Wasn't aware that was a bad thing to do, my apologies.

Hope this bumps your post and you get some more replies from people who own the cars you are interested in.

Actually the Hyundai has come good with quality a lot in the last 5 years.

While it is true that in the past the toyota has been well known for quality and reliability, the only thing lately for them seems to have been the increase in product recalls in the last 5 years

I've got a base model Hyundai elantra 2012 (and funny enough a Hyundai Santa fe too haha) and have to say it's quite a nice drive. And surprisingly yes the boot space is huge! Petrol efficiency is actually quite good too for driving around the local shops/city.

    Thanks everyone

DP wants the base model to save $$, but I *really, eally* want the key proximity, haha.

What is the turning circle like?
