    Default depression help

Talk to someone tonight - ring a hospital, ask if they have someone or can put you on to someone who you can talk to tonight. You've got nothing to lose by doing that.

I've been in your position, I know how hard it is waiting to feel better. Anti-depressants take up to 4 weeks to really take effect. Self-mutilation and testing how much medication your body can handle won't help. Write down your thoughts, get them on paper out of your head. Talk to a professional. There is hope, believe me.

I feel really worried about you. I don't even know you and you make me want to help. I wouldn't know how or where to start but I would if I could. And can if you want.
Please talk to anyone. Call someone, call me or another bub hubber!

That could still be having an effect. It may take a bit longer to see any positive results.

I agree wit pp, I think you need to speak with someone now. Do you want help now? Are you planning to commit suicide or hurt yourself? Are you alone at home? If you need help now you can call me or send a text message and I can get someone to help you. I have left my number as a message on your profile.

Do not take anything further drug wise, that will not help your situation at all. Please promise you are going to get some help tonight.

I work with suicidal clients...one thing I am sure of is that this kind of forum is not the best way of seeking treatment...or help.

It can take a while to find out what works best for us as individuals...it doesn't sound like you have found the therapy or therapist which fits you best yet OP.

Something made you want to post here...what was that?

Antidepressants do take 4-6 weeks to start working; I know it's hard but you should try to hang in there, if after 3 months you don't feel any different then perhaps they aren't the right ones or your dosage isn't high enough.

When I had PND i attended a mental Health Day Program at a local private hospital. It helped me a great deal. I dont know where you are or if they offer that sort of thing anywhere close by but its worth a shot. PM me if you feel up to it..
