Thats strange, you would think its the opposite wouldnt you.

Musical, thats what i was thinking. I didnt think it was possible and only ever heard a handful of people say it happened to them. Yet here i am, im 90% positive im pregnant, but all the tests are negative (except one very faint positive on a dodgy test ) My rational brain says its not possible.

It is strange. Google search it
Another reason for neg hpt results when you're pregnant is if it's ectopic. Fx it's not that though.

Default Have you been pregnant but had a negative preg test?

When my sister was pregnant the second time she tested when her period was due but got a negative test. I think it was a least a week later (and a lot of negative POAS!) that she got a positive. I can't remember if she ever got a positive on the POAS or if it was just confirmed by blood test.

It is normal to get a negative test 7 days post ovulation, that is too early to show up yet. OP was referring to negative tests within the time frame that it would reasonably show on a test ie after you have a late period.

i know one person irl who had this happen, negative test at around 8 weeks pregnant and confirmed by blood test. This is the only case I know of though.

Correct. I got a negative test at 7dpo with ds1, then a positive at 9dpo. I was talking about negative tests when they technically 'should' be positive, like after your af is due.

Yes, with DS2 I took several pregnancy tests for two weeks from the day of my missed period. Different brands, both at home and at the GP, they all came up incredibly faint and after around 10 minutes. At 6 weeks I had a blood test and all was as it should be

ETA To clarify, yes these tests were taken after AF was due. They were faintly positive, but negative according to the test instructions because they showed up so long after the test was taken. I hope that fits your criteria

Yep. I had a negative FRER at 11DPO with my DS, three days later I got my BFP.

This time around I had a negative IC at 9DPO (not that I was expecting otherwise!!) and then a faint positive at 10DPO. Got a very very strong positive on a FRER at 13DPO.

Again, thats sort of the opposite of what im asking. You actually did get a positive, the first at 14dpo, the second at 13dpo. Thats not unusual. Im talkign about negative tests AFTER af is due.
