Charlie. Although I would prefer Charlotte, with a nickname of Charlie.

I don't like Charli or Charlee, I'm afraid. I know the 'bogan' tag gets overused on here, but to me they would be names I would associate with someone a bit rougher, whereas Charlotte is a pretty name.

    This. Totally and utterly.

I quite like boyish nicknames for girls (Charlie, Bobbie, Frankie) but I'm a purist at heart so like a 'full' name as well as the nickname. It allows for flexibility.

    What's the B word?

I am genuinely surprised at how many people on here think it's "messing with the name" by spelling it the way I have suggested. Two of my baby books have them down with those spellings in the girls section. I didn't just randomly make them up....honest

Thanks for all the imput. Intertesing to hear what everyone thinks

Out of those 2 I prefer Charli...but agree with PP that I would prefer to name a girl something like Charlize or Charlotte and then always refer to her as Charli, so she has the choice later in life to have a 'fuller' name.

I've just had a bubs named Charlotte and we call her Charli for short.. I'd prefer to spell it that way as it looks a bit more feminine
