Default So scared. Haemorrhage or partial molar pregnancy

So my dating scan revealed some kind of "mass" near the embryo. Saw my GP today & they said I need another scan to determine what it is...possibilities are a haemorrhage or partial mole.

I now wish I hadn't googled partial molar pregnancy.

I'm trying (unsuccessfully) not to freak out.

Anyone had any experience with this? Another week waiting for another scan is going to kill me.

I've had a partial molar pregnancy last year. I didn't find out until 10.5weeks and an emergency trip to hospital and the results from pathology testing after D&C. Hopefully everything will be ok but if you do have a molar pregnancy feel free to message me and I can give you some more info.

Thanks Noty for your support. *hugs*

I'm not yet 7 weeks...only had an early scan to confirm dates.

Good luck for the scan next week, hopefully everything has righted itself. Let me know how it goes.

PS: If you're interested to know what'll happen if it's a molar let me know, don't want to upset you too much as it hopefully will all be OK!

I have read what happens with a molar...googled and promptly cried for a few hours. This is my first pregnancy (only time I've managed to get pregnant) so the prospect of that is very upsetting.

I now think my GP should have held off on the scary warnings til after my next scan, as it may well be nothing serious & I've upset myself for no reason. Now I have to survive a week of work with that hanging over me.
