Default Losing KG instead of TTC

My story.... I was actively TTC but after the elatement of a BFP and then the heartache of an early MC I am feeling pretty miserable about myself.

I can't control TTC but I can definitely do myself a favour and stop punishing my body with ice cream and chocolate whilst feeling sorry for myself - especially since I have only continued to put on weight after DS6.

I'm putting myself first and loosing weight and hopefully also finding some clarity and motivation along the way to get my head back into TTC.

    So who's with me?

    HEIGHT: 166cm
    WEIGHT STARTING: 112.9kg
    WEIGHT TODAY: 112.9kg
    TOTAL LOSS:
    % LOSS:
GOAL WEIGHT: mini goal under 100kg then onto pre baby weight of 89kg.

    CHALLENGES:
    PHYSICALLY:
    actually get to the gym!!

MENTALLY: first week is always easy. Don't get carried away and assume it will always be easy like this only to beat yourself up next week when you crave chocolate and give in

    SHARE A LITTLE WIN:
I got my butt into gear and started to focus on something for me. Noone will do this for you so it's about time you did it for yourself.

I am totally with you! After getting married march last year and 2 early mc's late last year, I am ready to focus on myself and being happy and healthy! Have put on 8kgs since my wedding, just from being super slack and indulging:

    WEIGHT STARTING: 66.9kg
    WEIGHT TODAY: 66.9kg
    TOTAL LOSS:

    CHALLENGES:
    PHYSICALLY:
gyming it 3-4 times a week, keeping motivated

MENTALLY: staying motivated and not eating when I feel emotional

    SHARE A LITTLE WIN:
Realising that yes, I can actually do this, I have done it before and I will do it again

Default Loosing KG instead of TTC

If this cycle is unsuccessful (find out Monday) I will be having a forced month off while prepping for IVF. I will join to occupy myself!!!

    Details:

    Age: 23
    Height: 163cm
    Weight: 67.4

    Goals:
reduce sugar intake dramatically. No more choc, ice cream, biscuits etc.

Walk more. Go for a walk for at least 30 mins per day, 6 days a week.

Reduce portion sizes, and choose sensible, low cal, filling snacks.

Would like to get back under 65, so lose at least 2.5kgs

I'm going to officially start on Monday!

Share a little win: realised that doing nothing won't make the day go faster. Will fit something fun into every day.

I'm in! I'm here to make even just small changes at least to get me started! So....

My story is, 10 years ago I was 95kg, lost 30kg doing sureslim programme and got to my goal weight of 65kg. Went away to NSW for work and spent the whole time being shouted to dinner/lunch/drinks and used it as an excuse to easily fall back in to bad habits. Ended up slowly putting on all the weight plus some. 4 years ago when my ex of 8 years walked out on me I went from 110kg to 90kg in 8 weeks!!! Not through trying, just through being so depressed all I ate was one egg a day. Met my best friend and now DH 3 years ago, put it all back on again, did lite n easy and got down from 113kg to 98kg. Gave up on that when I found out I had fructose intolerance and since then I've been eating carb rich foods and too many sweets. I'm 100% emotional eating, with my mum being diagnosed with terminal cancer and MC our miracle bub in October I've been eating worse than ever! No more feeling sorry for myself!

    HEIGHT: 167cm
    WEIGHT STARTING: 113.9kg
    WEIGHT TODAY: 113.9kg
    TOTAL LOSS:
    % LOSS:
GOAL WEIGHT: mini goal under 100kg then onto pre meeting DH weight of 93kg, then on to my ultimate goal of 70kg!

    CHALLENGES:
    PHYSICALLY:
dusting off the treadmill in the garage and putting it to good use. Going for walks with DH on weekends again.

MENTALLY: Cut down on sweets and don't let cravings consume my every thought!

    SHARE A LITTLE WIN:
Putting my name in to this thread and finally deciding to try again. Even just starting out with smaller changes is going to make a difference to my life!

Yay! Welcome ladies. Let's kick cellulites butt!

2013 is the year of feeling amazing about yourself and hopefully a lovely BFP to cap it off!

Butterfly my heart goes out to you. You have definitely had a crappy deal of the cards so I am so proud that you have filled that to the side for a little while to focus on you and make yourself the most important person for a while. You can still be a daughter a mother a wife and a TTC'er but I feel we can be healthier versions of ourselves at the same time.
    xxx

I am in!!! I totally need to lose weight. I look like I have just had a baby and DS is four next month!!! I have issues with my weight since 6 years ago when I ruptured my appendix and could barely move for months afterwards. I just ballooned and then never really got back to fighting fit, I did do well for a while, had a trainer right until I was 8 months pregnant, but then haven't really done any exercise since ds was born.

I am naturally heavy, at my skinniest (size 6-8) I was 64 kg so trying to be realistic about what I will get to.

    HEIGHT: 165cm
    WEIGHT STARTING: 86kg
    WEIGHT TODAY: 86kg
    TOTAL LOSS:
    % LOSS:
GOAL WEIGHT: mini goal under 80kg then onto when I met DH weight of 70kg.

    CHALLENGES:
    PHYSICALLY:
fatigue, hours DH works doesn't give me a lot of time outside of watching ds.

MENTALLY: I have trouble sticking to anything, and giving up wine...

    SHARE A LITTLE WIN:
I started having personal training sessions once a week this week, next week a twice weekly bootcamp starts at the gym at work so I will be working out three times a week. And DH and I are hiring a treadmill (arrives tomorrow) so can hopefully get on that when DS is either asleep or occupied.

I am in too. Back story is in college I was 48kgs, grossly underweight then I decided to eat a little more and in 5 years I have reached 85.3kgs. (Losing and gaining weight through the whole 5 years as you can see from my diary)
My hubby and I want to move to be closer to my family in July, then get settled into a job and try for a bubba, but we both want to be healthy.

    HEIGHT: 172cm
    WEIGHT STARTING: 85.3kg
WEEKLY WEIGH IN AT GYM: 85.3kgs
WEIGHT TODAY: 85.3kgs (This will be done on my scales at home.)
    TOTAL LOSS:
    % LOSS:
GOAL WEIGHT: Mini goal: under 80kgs
    Mid way goal: 70kgs
    Ultimate goal: 60kgs

    CHALLENGES:
    PHYSICALLY: Working - no time.

    MENTALLY:
Motivation. Not being disheartened at small losses - it's not a race

    SHARE A LITTLE WIN:
Started at a personal trainer with my best friend, we are doing Thursday and Saturday and then walking for an hour or 2 on mondays.

    My Goals:
Stick to exercise (best mate will make me anyways)
Cut down from 2L of coke zero a day to just a glass and a bottle of water.
    Small portion sizes
Only having bread 2 days a week.
If we do have a takeaway meal, pick subway on a wrap.

Just popping in to say good luck ladies! It's great that you are doing this not only for yourselves but for your future bubs and family as well. It's the stuff great moms (mums) are made of!!

To the regular wine drinkers.. I was shocked that the TF programme only asks that you have two alcohol free days/week.

So maybe if you just can't cut back completely or it's your little treat. Don't beat yourself up over it maybe just aim for one or two days each week with no wine and then try cutting back your portions on those day too?

I was surprised - I thought it would be total cold turkey.
