    Default Weight loss shakes..

Lose baby weight/healthy mummy seem to be the only breastfeeding friendly shakes. You could speak to a pharmacist and see if you could take any vitamins with a different shake to make them bfing friendly

    Hi,

I am using Optifast and it says to make the shakes with cold water but I don't see why you couldn't try hot. Not sure about taste though :/ they also make soups/deserts and bars

    Default Weight loss shakes..

I jumped on the scales this morning and i weigh 80.9 so overnight after being on 1 day of optislim I lost 1.5kg happy with that. I did do 50mins of jillian. Michele workout DVD. But also had 1 apple and 6 strawberries to snack on in between. After the workout I did my optislim with almond milk, put chai seeds in and quinoa. Dinner was boiled Bok choy and 2 to 3 litres of water. Interesting to see what I weigh tomorrow will keep u updated

I think the issue might be that they are very low calorie and you actually need *about 500 extra calories (I think, from memory) while breast feeding. Each optifast meal, for example, is only 152 calories (choc shake)

They are designed to be nutritionally complete, but I think those calories would be far too low for breastfeeding.

    Best of luck

I also like having the drinks hot - just trying Optifast for the first time as they took my old one off the shelves. It says that you can't add hot water which I am disappointed with - not sure why though. Does anyone know?

    Hi all.
I don't know how active this thread is but I thought it would be good to contribute. I started optislim yesterday and am hoping to see some good results in a week! Yesterday I did really badly and ended up eating double dinner at the end of the day out of bad habit
Today I've done very well though and had my three shakes and some vegies.

Hi! I know what you mean, it's hard the first few days, it really is.. my first day on celebrity slim was crap!! I was good all day then had a rice dish for dinner! lol. but since then I haven't been to bad really. I started this week at 78.5 and am down to 76.4. Could have been better, but it's seriously better than losing nothing. mind you, i have started to feel light headed... would anyone know why that is? I am drinking at least 2 litres of water a day minimum.

It could be blood sugar related. Maybe you could snack on a piece of fruit when it happens and see if that helps?

Yeah it defiantly gets easier. I weighed myself and had lost 1.4kg in a day! I know I wont lose that much everyday but its an encouraging start.
I have been getting really bad headaches but I think its just the withdrawal from carbs and they go away pretty quickly. I find when I get hungry if I have some water it just goes away, which is great especially if I get cravings.

Maybe you should try drinking more than 2L? I know I drink more than that. If that doesn't help then if could just be a withdrawal from carbs and might go away soon. Goodluck and keep me updated!
