I have to second the galaxy s3 - I loved my iPhone until I got the galaxy. My DH has the galaxy note 2 and of you want a big screen for Internet use it is even better. Will not go back to iPhones - they're just too small and too limited compared to android

I went onto the optus website to see what prepaid phones they had available, and the popup came up asking to speak to a consultant. So I gave my requirements and he suggested the Samsung Galaxy Ace - but since the unlocked ones are around the same price as those locked to Optus, I see no point in restricting myself with a locked one.

No I wouldn't get a locked one either but iI saw the Samsung Galaxy Ace recently online somewhere for $160 or so unlocked. Crazy Johns maybe? I can't remember, I was looking for something else at the time.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT get a samsung galaxy s3. It is the biggest POS I have ever owned (worse than the nokia n 75,which is renowned as the worst phone manufactured). Each day I discover something else I HATE about this phone. Today I discovered, you cant print ANYTHING from this ****e unless you are printing to a samsung printer. Wtf? Seriously? So I think, ill sync my phone with my laptop and get the photos that way. Nup, only my downloaded photos can be accessed, any photos taken on this phone cannot be accessed. Alright, ill email it to myself (I really need these photos to address a legal issue). Wrong, can only gmail it- I DONT HAVE GMAIL (because it sucks). I give up. Grab my camera and re take photos.

And don't get me started about its Internet browsing incapabilities and its delightful disappearing keyboard- you FINALLY get the curser to where you want it, and the keyboard disappears. Tap to get keyboard, curser moves. Arrrgggghhhh you POS!

In summary: DONT GET THIS PHONE- AVOID AVOID AVOID.

You should be able to connect wirelessly to samsung kies and get the photos that way.
I do agree with you though and recommend avoiding samsung.

I have googled my issues and it appears I'm not alone. Apparently samsung know about these issues but aren't really interested in addressing them.
