Default Period Cramps at 29 weeks....??

    Hi all,
I had period type cramps last night, which I have not had at all through my pregnancy. They were constant for about an hour before I was going to bed, they were a little painful, but I got off to sleep okay and bubs was still moving around heaps. So not sure how long they lasted as I feel asleep.
Any idea's what it might be? Braxton hicks, ligament stretching?? I just havent had it before and just wondering how normal this is?

I dont seem to be getting them this morning.
    Any advice would be great!
    Thanks,

If you're worried at all call your hospital or Dr. It's always better to be checked, even if it's nothing.

Do the pains come and go or is it constant?

Hol112- I do have back pain, but I suffer that anyway, prior to pregnancy. It does seem worse than normal though.

Called my GP a couple of hours ago and she said to take some paracetamol and see if they helps and to rest etc, and if it does not get better to come in and see if her, or if im really worried, go up to the hospital.
I took panadol and it did make the cramping go away for about an hour and a half, but it is coming back now.
Bubba is still moving around, so think Im going to wait until tomorrow, and see how I go tonight, if I am still getting the cramping I will go in and see my dr and go from there.

    Thanks ladies!

I'd go to the hospital you are booked at and get them to check you out. Better to be safe than sorry, it could be the onset of early labour and they can stop it now, or it could be a bladder infection you haven't realised you have. Look, just get it checked, a gp can't tell you what's wrong over the phone and shouldn't be giving you instuctions of just take panadol at this stage of the pregnancy.
