Weight gain has been a pain for me so far. At 15weeks I've only out on 3kg, and this comes and goes throughout the week. I've been eating normally and haven't thrown up once. My pants size and breasts have both gone up a size, but still I'm struggling.
I'm naturally thin and most of my family is. The Doc's say not to worry because weight will come when it needs to .... I am going to be frustrated at this until I start putting a lot on and then I'll complain. I know I can't win

    Default Weight Gain so far

Aleck you sound worried that you've only put on 3kg? That gain (even if it isn't totally stable) is completely within the recommended range.
A general guide is 1-2kg in first trimester then 0.4kg/week after that. Following that guide at 15 weeks you should be 3.2kg (max).

Obviously everyone's gains will fluctuate and vary greatly in timing and overall amount, but it doesn't sound like you would have anything to worry about!

    Default Weight Gain so far

Hi all. Well I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and I've lost 6kgs. I was going well until I hit 12 weeks then the vomiting started. Some days it was a few times a day so I wasn't keeping anything down.

I've had Zofran wafers in the past couple of weeks which means I am now eating small amounts. I've heard a few women say they started feeling better at 20 weeks so I am hoping this happens for me to. I just wanna eat a normal meal again.

Yeah - I am worried about too much gain - I'd be happy to keep it to a low number as soon as I can! I am 17 weeks today and total gain of 2.4kg - so happy that there was no gain since last week!

I also hope you get better soon Kting!

    I am 18 weeks and I've gained 4kg.

I am just listening to my body - whenever I am hungry, I eat. I only have a bit more appetite than normal. I am eating extremely healthy foods and thinking about iron, protein, calcium, fruits and vegies. I never eat junk food or sweets/soft drinks, and I think that this way, any weight I gain will be healthy and normal and I will lose it naturally after bub.

Also I am continuing to exercise and I think this helps to maintain a positive body image.

My main concern is preventing stretch marks! And I am worried about getting that abdominal separation.

I've been really lucky so far at 17w+1d I've had no weight gain...I hope it's not just hiding there ready to pounce on me when I least expect it!

Good luck caketin! At 18 weeks I'd only put on half a kg, then the three weeks following I put on 1.5kg I last weighed in on Tuesday I'll be weighing in probably tomorrow to make sure its slowed down!

Ideally for my remaining 19 weeks I'd like to only gain an average of 200g a week

    Hi everyone
I'm 23 weeks and have gained 5kg, happy with that as it's tracking just how it should be as I started in the healthy weight range. Just eating healthy varied choices and as someone else has said if I'm hungry I eat.
