    Default Central Coast Sea Change

We are a Sydneysiders who have been thinking about a sea change to the Central Coast.

So far the Terrigal/Avoca Beach area looks interesting for our young family of 5 with its proximity to the beach, Erina Fair, good schools, community feel and kids activities/services.

However, our primary concern at this point is a distinct lack of other families but rather retirees inspecting properties esp around the Terrigal area.
Does any one have more local (and recent) insight into this?

Where are all the young families moving to in the Central Coast?

What other areas should we consider? Good quality public schools, childcare/preschools and safe, higher socio-economic family friendly communities are important to us.

    Thanks

    Hi
I don't know much about the terrigal area however I live at empire bay which is 15 mins from terrigal and we love it here. There are some great schools close by and lots of young families. I think you will find a lot of older people no matter what suburb you look at.
Terrigal is a nice area but during especially the summer months there are way too many tourists avoca is becoming very popular with tourists aswell perhaps look at wamberal or north avoca

Terrigal and Avoca are lovely bit also pricey areas. We located to the entrance north from Sydney. There seem to be a few kids round the area with a big local public school close by. We are also a young family

    Default Central Coast Sea Change

I'm in north avoca at the moment. We moved here from Sydney nearly 12 months ago. We are moving back within the next few weeks.
North Avoca is quiet. It's nice for the quiet life. The beach is close by.
The downside for me is there are no footpaths, I can't walk with my double pram into Terrigal.
Overall, it's a nice safe area. There is a park just up the road from us. The beaches are lovely and Terrigal is beautiful.
