I guess each to their own but I disagree. No name is individual as there will be someone in the world with it. Your personality makes you individual, not a name. personally I don't get this fad of late where parents try to find the weirdest most 'eewneek' names to try to look sophisticated or original. Especially the silly spellings.

I'm sure others will disagree with me but that's my opinion

OP I love love Malachi, but spelt the proper way. Kalu reminds me of kalua, sorry.

Noo that spelling is not better, sorry. Putting the slang for toilet in the name is setting it up for teasing...more so than normal.

Aren't malakai and Malachi different names?

    Isn't malakai from the bible?

Malachi was a book in the hebrew bible and obviously a man of those times. malakai is an alternative spelling but not the original one

I like all the names you've listed... But as others have said at least spell them their original ways :-)

As for naming your child with a unique name.. I like it! My son's name is unique or so we thought until we found out although it's not heard of here... In other countries its fairly well known :-) There was just no way I was going to give my son a name like John, Mark, Scott etc etc... Just far too common for my liking. I can't imagine anything worse than having another 3 or 4 kids in my grade with the same name. I was a unique named child (not unique but uncommon) and I absolutely love the fact I've not once had another one in my grade at school nor at any workplace I've worked at :-)

I like your boys names. The only girls name I like is Skyla. I don't like Kalu at all

Erm, no. That's rubbish. And quite frankly insulting to those with common names. What, they're not individuals?

Having a strange or different name means you have a strange or different name. That's all.
