    Exclamation Centerlink Payments

    Hi Everyone,
Was wondering if anyone can tell me then maximum amount that centerlink pays when you have a bub...
I am just trying to sort out a budget for when bub comes and working out what our short fall could be and how long I can have off work.
We will only have one income which is minimum wage.

I am so confessed with what I can expect before I go back to work

With us atm DH is on minimum wage and I'm not working and it ends up being about 220 parenting payment a fortnight and family tax benefit b is about 170 a fortnight. Are you applying for paid parental leave too?

I'm not sure about rent assistance, we have a mortgage. Call and make an appointment, it makes it so much easier, online and over the ph were a nightmare for me, so much conflicting information! Good luck!

I think the best thing to do is call them. It confused me so much until I called them and they helped me understand what it is that I am entitled too.

It's not often that the baby bonus works out better than paid parental leave. Are you sure that's the case for you?

BB - $5,000, paid in 13 installments of approx $350
PPL - 18 weeks of approx $570 pw, so about double the BB

I think you should visit a Centrelink centre or even try calling them.

If I were you I'd go in and see them because while on the paid parental leave I think you aren't entitled to family tax B as you are getting an income during that time once it finishes you would be but ftb is for one income family.
