Default Anyone skip the 4 month sleep regression

I'm hearing so many horror stories about the 4 month sleep regression, just wondering if ALL babies go thru it or if your bub skipped it?

My first 3 skipped it, didn't even know about it until DD4 came along. At exactly 16weeks we copped it for 10weeks straight but all good now and back to sleeping 12hours phew!!

Default Anyone skip the 4 month sleep regression

Unfortunately I am in the midst of it. DS is now 5 months old and wakes 4 times or more a night. He can also take several times to get settled at the start of the night. I'm lucky to get 2-3 hrs of straight sleep then some 1 hr blocks.... He used to wake only 1-2 times a night....

    Oh I miss sleep!

We're in the midst of it too...DD is 5 months on Thursday and its been going on for about 7/8 weeks. She was down to 1/2 wake ups a night...oh those were the days.

She now will wake up to 20 times overnight. At least 10 times. Last night it was 11 and I thought that quite a good night because I got one almost 2 hour stretch of uninterrupted sleep. I am so exhausted. We are bed sharing because of it and I am still so exhausted. The longest stretch of sleep she's had in this time is 3 hours and that is a very rare occurrence.

BUT. I read about heaps of babies who pass it completely. Or just wake a couple more times a night for a week or so and then it's over. So hopefully that is the case for you

We got the 4 month one and it lasted about the same time, it was awful, 3,5,7 times a night for months. But it did end. Finally.

Our first three months with DD were pretty awful, went to sleep school at 3 months (Tresillian) and then everything was great until a month long blip at 9 months (which we resolved after a few desperate phone calls to Tresillian)!

Sorry to hijack OP, but for those that have come out on the other side, did it just end out of nowhere and they started sleeping or did it gradually wear off?

I keep telling myself that one night I'll go to sleep and miraculously sleep for 5 hours instead of 30 minutes :/
