I often wonder how everyone would react if people started saying these thoughtless things to parents who lose their babies to sids or their kids to accidents. They don't get that its the same thing. No matter when you lose your child you are still a grieving parent.

Yeah some people don't seem to realise that do they? It sucks its sort or attitude that makes me feel so disconnected like it was all in my head how important he was.

I know the feeling but if you ever feel that way just look back through this thread and it will prove that feeling wrong. He touched so many people, your little angel made a bigger impression on this world in his short time on it than some people can manage in their many years.

Default My daughter has Trisomy 18 and she is 4 years old.

We too, were pressured to terminate/abort the pregnancy. We chose not to abort, and our daughter is now 4 years old. She has changed our lives, more than we ever thought she would! We have been apart of miracles galore! Your baby will likely need medical interventions, and it may be an uphill battle at first, as you find a qualified and willing medical team, so it may be best if you learn more about trisomy from families who are already making a pathway for your family. If you would like more support and information of Trisomy syndromes, you can ask to be a part of the Trisomy Families support group on facebook. Just go to www.facebook.com/groups/trisomyfamilies

Ally sadly lost Angus earlier this year but your information will hopefully be able to help others in her position.

Ally I haven't commented for a while but am still reading along and you are so strong. Hopefully people will learn to think before they speak soon.

Thank you ladies. I'm not going to lie I'm very all over the place! I'm excited I'm going to the USA for a wedding in two weeks but I feel sad that angus is staying home, although not really I am taking his urn to mum's house so he's not alone (I know it's silly)

Still crying everyday. Having some horrible days. More often than I'd like to report. Keeping thinking how different this year was supposed to be

Already getting more isolated as so many of my friends don't Even have kids yet so have no comprehension of how bad it all is and they are clearly growing bored with my sadness. And of course many new pregnancies in my life since he passed and the scans and things being up good memories that I then get sad over because they are over and he is gone
