Default Has anyone kept their edwards syndrome baby?

Angus gave me a heart attack this week. He was active Sunday night then nothing! So yesterday I emailed my genetic counsellor to organise a scan..... Then last night he must have done a big roll or something I felt him move like I have never felt before!

I've come to the conclusion that with less than average muscle tone and control I probably won't feel his kicks till he is stronger and I will just have to hold out for his turns when he's uncomfortable .

Hi Ally, I could not read your story and not reply- you are such an amazing and brave woman. I did some research about edwards syndrome after reading this thread and came across a positive line: Trisomy 18 is a diagnosis, not a prognosis.
Your little Angus sounds like a toughie fighter and you a dedicated and loving mummy

    Thanks mel84 and citrusrain!

He is good! As far as I can tell he hasn't had a scan since jan 28th but his kicking is becoming much more regular. Usually about 11:30pm I get a few minutes of big kicks or jabs to let me know he's just fine a week from today he is having his heart rescan so I'm excited to see him again!

I'm so happy to hear your lil man is doing well and giving you lots of movements.
It'll be so wonderful for you to see him again on the scan
I hope all goes well with the scan and that he's growing well and getting stronger, lots of love xoxo
