    Default pets and renting

    As pp said we have to state the number of occupants on the front page of the lease for 1) so we know who is living in the home and 2) so you don't sub let or have 10 other people staying in the home

    A landlord legally cannot refuse a reasonable request for additional occupants ( kids, parents, siblings etc) they can refuse friends or a large number of adults if the home is not big enough - can you imagine the uproar if agents evicted babies!!! Never would happen!

    The lease states you must notify the agent if you have more than the agreed number of people living in the home, if you had a baby you just need to let them know, that's all , the reason they brought this regulation in in the 1990,s was that yes tenants were subletting rooms or a silly number of adults were squeezing into small houses , we have some tenants wanting 8 adults in a 2 bedroom apartment - that is unreasonable

    So yes there are cheap houses but not everyone is willing to live in that type of area...
    Just to own a home.
