Default Did you do anything on your due date?

    Hi everyone

Thanks to everyone for sharing their stories. I have found it really helpful to know that other people have gone through the same thing and come out the other side.

Just wondering if people did anything on their due date and if so what they did? I don't want to make a big deal out of it as my 4 year old DD won't understand but would like to acknowledge some how... My due date is in a week.

My story started at my 12 week scan with a really high nuchal. Genetic testing then came back all clear. After finally convincing ourselves that maybe things would be okay at 20 weeks scan a physical abnormality was picked up. This meant more genetic testing which picked up a chromosonal abnormality. Unfortunately due to it being a rare abnormality they couldn't really tell us much about it. So in the end we made the heartbreaking decision to have a termination. Our beautiful baby boy was born at 26 weeks. I was given the first lot of medicaton but then went into labour naturally so he was born alive and died in our arms 2 hours later.

Like everyone I have good days and bad days. My partner has been extremly support as well as a couple of friends which has been good.

It's nice to have such a supportive place to share your story, particularly if you haven't told many people the whole story.

We did not directly do anything on our due date, however after we lost our first precious angel at 13 weeks I finally conceived again nearly 2 years later and was amazed to discover that our baby was due on the same date as our angel who went to heaven, my OB looked at me and said that in all his years this was a first and that it must be a sign that all was going to be ok. After an eventful pregnancy our DS arrived 3 weeks before his due date - truly a miracle
