    Default Help with result

My partner is 2 days late (36 days on a 34 day cycle) and did a Crystal Clear HPT last night and within 3 minutes we were fairly sure the test was negative - we could only see 1 solid blue line. We came back to it 7 mins later and we are fairly sure that there was only 1 solid blue line at that time and nothing else.

I looked at it randomly after that again in the evening and am also fairly sure that I couldn't see anything else.

Now this morning I looked at it again and I can see a very very very faint blue line where the positive is. I am fairly sure that it wasn't there yesterday evening.

    How should I read this?

Get her to do another test. You aren't meant to interpret results on a pregnancy test after the time frame stated in instructions.

    OK, will do.
What exactly is an evap? Does it indicate pregnancy?
    Sorry, completely new to this.

    Thanks much.
Would a positive line generally be very visible at time of testing (first 10 mins)?
3 days late and Crystal Clear HPT.
Also, are the results more reliable if tested with first pee?

Try a first response or confirm brand. There's been a bit of talk about first response giving false positive but I still ind them more reliable than crystal clear blue dye test (tests where the lines are blue. Confirm and first response are pink dye)

Oh and yes the positive will come up before 10 mins and generally are more reliable with first pee of the day.
Mine came up straight away with any day pee and I was a few days late.

First response is the most reliable (in general). But even first response will quite often show a result after a few hours even though it was initially negative.
Get her to do another test, but it sounds like it's probably a negative result.

You should definitely only go on the results during the time limit, anything after is not considered an accurate reading.
I would agree that result is a negative but if you want reassurance get another test, and only look at it up to the time limit, after that the best thing to do is throw it away.
If your partner still doesn't have her period after a week test again.
    Good luck!

I would get a first response test and try again. With my ivf cycles i always got a super faint line early on which would almost always darken over night (and it was positive). Try again with a first response and you might get that 2nd line.
