Default Question about ear piercing over old holes

    Hi,
I had my ears pierced for a few years as a girl and let them close. Every now and then they get gunk in them. I'm looking to get them pierced again. I am a bit clueless about these things. Will they be able to pierce them exactly on top of the old holes? Will they be more or less likely to still get yucky stuff?
    Thanks.

Default Question about ear piercing over old holes

I got mine re-pierced not exactly over the old holes, but very close. 10 years on and I can't tell where the old holes were now.

I'm pretty sure mine are placed exactly on the same old holes. I still suffered reactions ( even to earrings that were meant to be for allergy suffers) so I don't often wear them now - just every now and again to keep the holes open

I studied beauty, they will go over the same place, if you can still see the mark it will be easy to get the right spot. I let the girls do my ears and the holes were still open it was just for them to practice and they got exactly over top of the open holes

Thanks everyone. Where should I get it done? Chemist? Tattoo place? Hairdresser? Other? Anything I need to ask them before I let them at my ears? Cheers

Over the same spot is fine. I got mine re done by a tattoo place and highly recommend it. They use a needle and can aim better. I also had scar tissue from the first time and she was able to angle away from it. Didn't hurt like the gun.
