    Default Call the Midwife

DH got me Call the Midwife for Christmas. I have seen it mentioned a few times on here but have never seen it, not even a promo or anything. Is it good? Is there a second season for is it just the one? I suspect I'll bawl my eyes out lol.

Oh it's great....I just loved it. The first ep was such a roller coaster ride of sadness, joy, love, acceptance....just great.

It's awesome, I've seen all of series one, series two starts in feb/march! My dads parents lived in London in the 1950 so was great look into what it was like in those days !!

    Default Call the Midwife

I cried every episode. It's so wonderful. My grandmother, who died last year, was a midwife in London at the same time, so it had so much meaning for me to watch it, imaging her doing the exact same job at the exact same time!
It's based on a couple of books which I read after watching the first series. I prefer the tv show

It is really great. I have read the book also, which I liked as it provides closure to the stories (unlike the show, which has a storyline and then never follows up on what happened - of course maybe this happens in the second season?)
