Default How did you choose your wedding 'theme'

These are all great! I asked dp what colour and he said red.... Lol I don't see that in a wedding! I just can't visualise.

We are having orchids, peonies & maybe some canna lili's?! I saw these flowers on the net thought they would look good together. Dp wanted sunflowers -_- I said YELLOW????? Only because we sing you are my sunshine to each other. Wow that sounds lame writing that down I compromised and said how about they can be at our engagement party!

Dress is chosen, dp has his suit now to add the stupid part? I'm still waiting formy ring LOL

Our colours went off the suit that dh wanted, everything worked really well around it. You don't have to go extreme with your colour/theme, we just added subtle touches of it. Another thing to consider is colours that will/won't suit your bridesmaids.
That's such a funky idea! I actually love it very unique. I'm having my dogs at our wedding in dresses. Yes I'm insane

I chose my dress first & built the theme from there. e.g if you have a vintage dress, you might want to go for a vintage theme, if you have a boho dress, you might have a boho garden wedding.

Doing it this way means you look more "yourself" on the day, not just "another bride".

I love the purple and black, this is similar to what I had. I love the red flwoers and cream dresses (no. 2 photo)
And the last one with the black dresses you can have yellow flowers?

I wanted a lollipop bouquet but it doesn't suit the theme that I've gone with!!!

Definitely other options than real flowers some people are very creative!

We have hundreds of Canna Lillies in Red/Orange, Yellow, Yellow/Red. They are pretty as and look great photographed but they an absolute pain in the back side of a plant. They just spread like mad and almost impossible to remove.

We managed to cull the garden of them down to about 300.

We are on acerage though so the patch looks tiny.

I had red bridesmaids - I'll see if I can add a pic. It's a photo of a photo so please forgive the flash.

^^This is the dress I want for bridesmaids
Red doesn't have to be cherry or bright red.
