I'm wanting to know who is entitled to it. I'm assuming its only for those on centre link payments. A friend told me everyone gets it but I don't think that is correct.

I am not on any Centrelink money at all due to DPs income ( not the children's father). I have never received the school kids bonus at any time. So I think you have to be getting Centrelink benefits of some sort.

It's worth ringing and asking about as its supposed to be for anyone with school aged children. It is replacing the tax time school payment where you kept receipts and claimed with tax.

Mine goes in Friday so I plan to hit big w while they have heaps of school stuff for $1 and $2

Yeh this is what my friend was telling me, anyone with school aged children. I will have to enquire.

Definitely do. They changed it because very few people were actually claiming it at tax time. It's $410 per primary student paid in two parts (one now and one mid year). Think it's $700ish for high school students.
