In July when it came out people were asking if pre schoolers got it. A CL worker who is paid to respond to social network questions said that 4 yos were being paid. So it wasn't a mistake. They may have changed the rules this year, but last year 4yos fit the criteria to be paid.

from reading centerlink you are entiled to the payment if you receive some sort of fortnigthly payment from them, as it is still means tested.... so another words if your not entilied to anything thing in family allowances A or B you wont get the school bonus for your child.

I never got it last year for my 4/5 year old. He misses the school start date by 4 days. Wouldn't it have only been paid to those who were eligible to start school that year?

I'm NSW and everyone I know that had a child in preschool and turned 5 before early July got the payment.

I think the reason being that some kids start school at 4 turning 5 and I realised I made a typo, they had to be 5 at early July not 4

That's why then. Had he been born 6 weeks earlier you would have got it.

Being born in August in NSW you couldn't have sent him to kinder last year. That's why they had the July cut off, bc that's the date and before you can send them early.
