My mum and grandma get really intense about natural medicine and homeopathy. Which is totally fine, their bodies whatever. But mum got really ****y that I didn't want to take all these random potions given to me by her naturopath when I was pregnant - even suggested after jasper was born had I seen the naturopath my labour wouldn't have gone so badly.

My grandma wanted to give jasper some homeopathic tablet when he had mosquito bites and all I asked was "what's in it?" And I got a massive song and dance from both mum and grandma about how wonderful homeopathy is and how evil drugs are. But what's IN it?! Neither of them could tell me. Umm no. I think we won't be giving my baby mysterious white pill that for all you or I know could be anything. So apparently I was closed minded because I'd rather go to the chemist and get some cream.

Boobycino - Most (if not all) of what's in homeopathic remedies is water, but I totally agree with you about not taking them anyway!

I keep bread in the freezer, as we don't use it often enough to store in a cupboard, and it goes dry in the fridge.

My dad reuses envelopes, and gets upset if you stick one down (or write on it) for birthday/ Xmas cards. In saying that, I've never seen him reuse one... I think he just keeps them 'in case'...

I dont know if this is strange, but in my family none of us ever EVER write on the tags that come with giftbags. Our thinking is that then people can use them again, but it does mean that your next present from aunty so-and-so will often come in a giftbag that you originally gave to your mum 12 months ago.

I don't think it matters at all, no one ever tears off and keeps the tiny cards that are attached to gift bags, they only display / keep full-sized cards anyway... Though maybe this is just my opinion coz its what my family does too ;-) haha

ETA - it is nothing for my siblings and I to show up at mum & dads for a bday dinner with an unwrapped gift and raid their linen cupboard for a pre-loved bag :-P

I have to keep bread in the freezer as we don't eat it fast enough and the hot weather turns it mouldy.

I freeze bread also but keep the current loaf that is in use in a bread box on the bench as many years of dry bread has bothered me hehe

Haha! Ours are always wrapped, then put in the giftbag. I dont know why...its just the done thimg? Maybe we're trying to cancel out the environmentally friendly reusing of the giftbag by also knocking out half a roll of wrapping paper.
