Disney, I'm not really tracking my ovulation with kits or anything. Does that make a difference? Will Pink Pad make an accurate guess of ovulation date based on my AF alone?

Clucky, congrats! We did say that 2013 would be our year! So happy for you. Fingers crossed for a boring pregnancy.

    .
I grabbed a kit from Coles for my first cycle (as in first real af) just so I knew which was my real o day (or if I was o'ing at all... I had been on the pill for 12 years straight and I was worried). On pink pad it sets o day as cd14. After using OPk I found it was actually cd16 for me. So the little flower was in full bloom on my app then and it remembers that and each month it makes sure my full bloom flower is cd 16. Because your not planning on trying for a few months yet its probably not that essential.

mumma k - cd8! Is that normal for you?? That's super annoying. Make sure you replace that iron your loosing

Hmm... I think a trip to the supermarket is in order... I want to find out if I'm ovulating.... Might do that on the way home tonight.

    Any recommendations???

I think I'm 5dpo too! I tested this morning to see if I can drink this weekend and I got a negative. I'm going to wait until Wednesday before doing it again. I had a few tears when it came up negative.. Not sure what I was expecting being only 5 dpo.
you do know that you could be preggers its just not showing up on a test yet? Its a personal preference for everyone but just knowing there was a chance I was pregnant I didn't drink in the TWW and luckily for me I did that because as you know I was making an embryo haha

I just let the ap tell me when my fertile time was, its usually a 6 day period so we just DTD everyday (expet one!) and got preggers first try which was pretty lucky. If you get other signs like EWCM then I would just go with that I dont think OPK's are necessary until you have been trying a while with no luck.

I was also pretty into DTD & more turned on (TMI) during my o week compared to other times of the month, DH also seemed more keen too so nature seems to do some work to help us out too hehe

Disney, would I even ovulate this month? Or would I test from cd14 after my first real AF? Also you can bump up my month on the roll call to June if you like.

Cantwait, you are so lucky to fall pregnant so quickly. I'm a control freak so I can't help with the testing. Haha.

After you come off the pill, how long before you libido increases?

I used forelife ovulation kit. I found it a useful and interesting exercise to start off on the right foot.

nomie - I did it from the time I stopped taking the pill. I started peeing on the from cd 12. I didn't think I was going to o but I did, I wasn't expecting a 28 day cycle either so it was 2 nice surprises. That first o week I couldn't keep my hands off dh. The hormones leave your system within a few days.

Cantwait - I figured if it was coming up with a bfp we aren't sharing a blood source therefore it couldn't hurt...now I'm not sure... Did you 'feel' utd before you knew because I feel nothing?!? Maybe its more so because I got a neg hpt

In my situation if I had of kept my app at telling me when I o'd I would still be aiming for cd 14 and most likely missing my window. So I found the OPk useful.

Thanks for the welcome ladies I'm thinking I might start using ovulation kits soon, although I kind of wanted to avoid using them so I wouldn't obsess too much! Might try the forelife ones.

NomieTee - I've found since coming off the pill my libido has skyrocketed...we had a very healthy s3x life as it was, but now sometimes i wear DH out which never used to happen! (sorry if TMI) it took a couple of months for it to happen before all my hormones sorted themselves out though.
