Oh man, so exciting that it's 2013 now! And so exciting for all of us TTC this year (and some who have already started!!)

I only have 10 BC pills to go before I stop! I am so excited. Can't wait to see how AF is, I was off BC last year for a couple of months and AF was pretty much like clockwork so I hope she snaps back into her rhythm quickly again so we can TTC in March. It seems like such a long way away but I have plenty of pre-TTC stuff to keep my busy anyway.

I think we'll start out relaxed but if AF keeps visiting I'll look into OPKs and that sort of thing. I will use my iPhone app to track my O week though. Bless technology!

    Default 2013...The year of BFP's!

Wow can't believe it's 2013 and time for a new thread! Lots of new ladies so welcome!

As for us still on track for July but I might push It until August as it looks like we will be in nz and I want to relax and have fun not worrying about when/if I can drink. Dh would love to start now - he's more excited than I am!

My sister bought us a few books for Xmas - what to expect before your expecting was one - either the fam knows our plans or a massive hint!

But to be honest they really upset us the other day as dh and I were throwing the name Jackson around for a boy and dh said he liked jax as apposed to jack as a nick name and the fam completely tore it apart! It kinda hurt the things they said so we agreed that the name will be kept a secret that way no one will give unwanted opinions.

Brisbane ladies has anyone decided what hospital or private vs public? I think we're going to to private and are leaning towards the mater mothers even though we're on the north side as they have a nicu (just in case) and is newer.

SJK, some people can be so insensitive with names!!
We would have the discussion around people, but we went with our gut feeling for DS, we actually werent sure of his name...even after over 34hrs in labour, we still hadnt decided!! LOL He was born mid-morning, and we didnt announce his name til the following day! Though we decided for sure around dinner time.

We went for something completely different, and at first people had trouble with the pronunciation...but now its ok....and everyone loves his name, no one has ever met another with his name either, though i know theres a handfull out there.

Ive had so many names ruined by saying them to people...
Astrid - "Will get called a$$ Turd"
Arabella - "Sounds like you sneezed while saying Rubella"
Caden - "sounds like a girls name. He will get called Kay"
    etc etc....

If the name debate comes up now (And at the end of my pregnancy with DS) i just say we aren't sure, and will find something to suit him/her when they arrive....or that i want to 'see' them to find a name that fits... It stops any debate then and there

Maggie welcome! I'll add you to our roll call this evening.

Elswyth- technology is such a blessing! I'd be lost without it!

Sjk - it was a huge hint from your sis buying you WTEWE!!! Lol!! My sister is very much like don't you dare make me an aunt! Aunts are old and I'm not old enough to be old !! Lol!!! I can't believe your fam tore your name apart ! I like Jackson! I think it's a great name that works both for a little boy and an adult. My brother made fun of the boys name I have but I LOVE it and I'm using it anyway. Names are a tough one. I want to sound names out with my family because I know they are honest but I also don't want them pooping on the names I love. It's a catch 22.

Shadow - I love astrid but my dh said a$$ turd as well as soon as I said it!!!!!!

I love different names so people most often screw up their noses. I suppose the moral is to keep names to yourself.

Yay someone else waiting as long as me! Have to hold off until the wedding.

Even though it is 9/10 months away I'm unsure whether to come off the pill now or wait until very close to the wedding? Upside, I can control when i get my period, downside, I still have to put up with the pill!

Can I just say that although sometimes it can take a while to BFP after stopping pill, sometimes it happens straight away... Took us 2 weeks after stopping pill... So if stopping pill and you do need to wait til later in the year be very very careful with other firms if contraception!! :-)

I would be starting earlier if we weren't going to the Gold Coast in June. You can't go on any roller coasters if you are pregnant. :P So I'll be coming off the pill in June and get my checkups, starting taking prenatal vitamins, etc. I will keep using protection until at least August.
