That's horrible. I hope none of you ladies ever have to go through something like this.

I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy! I felt so sad for her. They spent so much money on ivf (their life savings and then just started to live to pay for treatment) and it was a combination of financial pressures and not being able to concieve and then they started blaming each other and her dh didn't want to dtd anymore and she became angry at him and when he wanted to dtd it was the right time for her and she wanted him to save up his swimmers! It's so unfortunate. I suppose these are things you need to consider and discuss before deciding to go down this track with your partner. Covering the what it's and the expectations on each other.

Absolutely. Dp and I have spoken about these things considering his medical things as discussed in our other thread. Hopefully won't have to go down that path but I feel for all the couples that have to.

Gosh, that just sounds so sad.

What a shame. I hope nobody here has to go through that either. How devastating. I hope in time she heals and can move on from the experience which must have just been so difficult. I guess it's a good reminder to be grateful for what you've got and not to take anything so seriously that you forget you are first and foremost best mates with your DP/DF/DH!

I've been with him since a teen and I'm now mid 30's so we've been thru a huge amount and still very much in love.
That is so great that you are still very much in love after all that time and everything you have been through. What a great bond! I'm thinking of you too and really hoping 2013 is your year after everything!! You are obviously a legend for getting through it all and remaining positive!

My doc said ill need to take a vitamin d over winter (if my second trimester falls over winter) and an iron supplement in my third trimester. Iron inclusion does sound aweful! At least you picked it up before ttc. Did you dp go with you for a check up?
Disney — I know right! If I hadn't have been thinking about getting pregnant I would never have known.

Today's appt was for the whooping cough jab but he had to talk me through the iron results so the giant needle can wait!!

DP will have to do that as well. He didn't come with me, I just went to the doc on my lunch break, but he's going to come with me for the infusion which takes 6 hours! 6 hours with an iron drip pumping it into my blood. Ew!

That's good that cod liver oil was doing such great things for you! I never take supplements but now I think I probably should. Sounds like taking vitamin D in winter and iron for a few months should be nice and easy, must be great to know you're all in order for everything else!

Thank you so much. Truth be told I'm not always positive. The neg tests then AF usually have me in the fetal position for a few days I have a great support system in friends and family though so I think that's what gets me thru

Af is here. But I'm already back to feeling positive about this cycle.

I think DH and I should start talking about fertility issues more. I don't want the same happening to us if we have any problems. I'm a bit worried as DH is getting his swimmers checked tomorrow and I'm trying to prepare myself if its bad news.

    Default 2013...The year of BFP's!

Hey girls, sorry it has been so long once again! Have had a lot on my mind and every time I pick up my phone/laptop I'm googling abnormal pap results and the procedures, etc! Bad I know... Dr Google is so scary with all of his horror stories!

Huge congratulations to all of the ladies who have got their BFP's! So jealous, but very happy for you all 😊

I have just read through like 5 pages of posts and now I've forgotten everything I was going to say (I'm on my phone)

So I'll update on my gyno appt today... He pretty much explained it in full detail, I had the colposcopy and he took two separate biopsies from the abnormal cell lesions. He said that I'm definitely going to have to have further treatment, the result of the biopsy will determine which one. He said catching it now, the treatment has a high success rate of getting rid if all affected cells (and not having them come back) and also has a 95% success rate of preserving fertility. Thank goodness! So relieved..
He said that if we were planning another pregnancy for this year/soon, it will push the whole process back 3 months. Which is fine because we won't be trying until July/August anyway!

Sorry for the "all about me" post, but I really can't remember what everyone else has been writing! I promise it won't be so long until my next post, starting to feel better about the whole situation after today 😌 xx
